Hid Conversion Kit 4300K Model The 4300K model is a typical factory install on new cars such as BMW, Mercedes, etc. It is a moderate white colour, and of course the same benefit in improvement of brightness above a halogen as other kits. The difference is in the K value of color temperature. The 4300K is better suited for those who definitely want a safer and better lighting system in their vehicle but want to beyond a doubt avoid having a Xenon kit that is too high of a K value. Reasons to not have a high K value are really based on how some drivers do not approve of Xenon kits that are too bright or too "blue" or "violet" which of course is the affect you will get with say a 12,000K kit. Some motorists particularly in the United States have argued that these high K value kits should be banned and perceive them to be a distraction on the roads. There is little to no stable evidence to suggest that but when driving with high K value kits you may get flashed by other motorists if they feel your lights are too flashy. Its highly unlikely you would ever encounter this problem with the standard 4300K kit and thus that is most likely why it comes as the default factory install on many new luxury cars. This avoids any controversy and lets the driver of the car decide whether they want to upgrade to a higher K value or keep the standard kit. A study was performed recently by one of the industry leaders in HID Sylvania. The conclusion was when testing 1 set of drivers, first they drove using regular halogen bulbs and next they drove using HID kit xenon lights. Not too surprisingly, 97% agreed that Xenon helped significantly in their ability to spot obstacles on the road, improved visibility and created increased feelings of safety and security when driving at night or in poor weather conditions. Combine this with the fact that a study done with halogen bulb drivers concluded that... 7/10 American drivers feel unsecure driving in poor weather conditions or at night. Largely due to visibility issues that Xenon hid kits can easily help to mediate the problem Overall there is no denying the fact that HID Kits using Xenon technology are becoming the standard in lighting especially with new and high-end cars. With the relatively high availability of these items now regardless of what car you own you can upgrade it to this technology, simply because its better. The K value in hid kits refers to the Kelvin value. Kelvin Values impact on the color temperature value. Here is a basic chart to outline this information: 3000K (Yellow) - 4300K (Extreme White) - 6000K (Diamond White) - 8000K (Iceberg Blue) - 10,000K (Brilliant Blue) - 12,000K (Violet Purple) The lower the K value, the higher the brightness level. What are the advantages of Xenon Bulb? Power saving: A Xenon lamp only needs 35W of power; it can save more than 50% on electricity use, reducing the burden of electric systems and enhancing performance. Depending on your battery and its performance, the system may draw anywhere from 2.2A (at 16V) to nearly 4A if your battery is underperforming at only 9V. A typical halogen system may draw as much as 8A of power however. To calculate the current required to power the HID Xenon kit simply follow this formula: Watts = Amps X Volts Batteries optimized for 12V will draw 2.9A. Calculating your current draw may be important if you are planning heavy modification to the car such as a large subwoofer system. High efficiency: A Xenon lamp can generate 3200 Lumen, increasing light output by 300% in comparison to a halogen bulb. The polar white light color is similar to daylight; research has shown that this enables drivers to concentrate better, especially while driving at night. Economy: A Xenon lamp has a life-span of 2500 hours, which is 10 times greater than that of a general halogen lamp. Therefore this lamp will only need to be replaced in very rare circumstances. Easy installation: Produced by using integral advanced technology, easy to install, no need to change original parts. Addon Features:
We have some optional features that can be added to your HID kit.
1) Super Thin Ballast
You can choose to add super thin ballasts (see image below)to any HID kit using the options above. The advantage of super thin ballast is mainly in the ease of installation and extra room it provides. Installing with the normal ballasts is not difficult but in some cars the extra room is hard to find to fit the ballasts in without a bit of a headache, the superthin ballasts alleviate this problem and then some and the extra cost is very reasonable. We have priced this addon very low and are making a low profit because we think its a good add-on for our customers.

2) Antijam technology for cars with radar
This an addon for every HID kit that we reccomend only if you have a radar system in your car. This is typically in newer model BMW, Audis, and Mercedes. If you need support regarding this issue contact our staff or read your manual. We noticed that most HID xenon kits on the market today have a flaw that causes the car to have errors when HID kits are installed on cars with radar. So our factory has fixed the mistake using what we call antijam technology you can buy it as an addon to your HID kit if you need it and the price is reasonable.
You can read the article we have written here antijam HID technology article
You can buy BOTH addons together or separate, or not at all. Neither is 100% necessary but in the case where you feel its necessary after reading the info above, we highly reccomend the addons to avoid any potential problems.
